EMKIPOP is the best that nature has to offer, mixed with a generous helping of love and adventure. Let’s take a closer look at these little ice lollies that simply knock you cold!
Once upon a time in New York City...
It's the beginning of a story worthy of the best Hollywood screenplays.
Émeline Lallemand and Guillaume Bacqueville decided to put their respective careers on hold and found themselves in 2015 on the streets of the Big Apple, in search of adventure and new challenges. Wandering along one of these great avenues that most of us can only dream of, fate suddenly came knocking. Our two lovers came face to face with a scooter loaded with colourful Ice Pops, and they were immediately smitten.
The rest, as they say, is history. Back in Marseille, the couple launched into this slightly crazy but passionate enterprise that led to EMKIPOP.
Who would have thought that from the streets of NYC to those of Marseille, they were only a step away? But the soon-to-be iconic duo chose to keep only the best of both worlds. Farewell, the ice pops that were so attractive and colourful, yet packed with additives and artificial products! EMKI Pop's DNA is about fruit in its simplest form, with no colouring agents or preservatives. Their credo lies in letting the product do the talking, together with spices and herbs.
In a nutshell, EMKIPOP offers an anthology of what nature has to offer.
What’s more, Emeline and Guillaume can afford to put pure fruit in their recipes because they are highly selective and favour short supply channels in their sourcing. In their early days, Emeline locked herself away in the kitchen and sourced from producers in the Marseille region. This ecological, taste and economic preference paid off! EMKI POP contributes to the local economy and respects the seasons so as not to upset nature.
Breaking News! Paradise now comes in 40 homemade recipes, dreamt up by Emeline and then made in the EmkiLab, all in keeping with the seasons and the highlights of the year. From a taste perspective, Emeline shakes up convention and enjoys producing combinations that are as delicious as they are creative. As a cake and tart fan, this self-starter has mastered - and even reinvented, not without a certain amount of style - the art of making artisanal ice cream.
Whether the sun is shining or the streets are covered in snow, EMKI POP cafés always have something refreshing or comforting to offer. A dozen flavours are permanently on the menu, referred to as ‘pillars’, and we seriously invite you to go and discover them right here.
(Special shout out for the lemon meringue pie flavour, tested and more than approved)
WHERE TO FIND THEM
EMKI POP has three great addresses to date.
One EMKI POP café in the French capital, one in Marseille, the cradle of the brand, and one in Aix-en-Provence, the city of a thousand fountains. We can't tell you what a pleasure it is to visit them on a hot summer’s day, so take our advice: make a beeline!
And no, living on the other side of France is no excuse! The brand has a cool e-shop, while you can also find its products sold by the crème de la crème of resellers all over France: La Grande Epicerie du Bon Marché, Maison Plisson, Fou de Pâtisserie, La Chambre aux confitures, etc.
