Through our Les Best Of competition, presided over by Vincent Ferniot, we reward the best products - tomorrow’s trends - based on criteria of quality, innovation, originality and naturalness. The Les Quintessences competition seeks to reward distributors who have created the best initiatives, with the aim of promoting fine food products (concept, ethical commitments, point-of-sale events, digital, etc.). This year, Emmanuelle Jary was nominated as jury president.
While we cannot ignore the health situation of the past few months, we remain optimistic: this period has revealed the strength of those involved in ‘eating well’, but also the importance to consumers of good products, good addresses, and local shops which, more than ever, are synonymous with social interaction and advice. These are great opportunities for professionals to grasp. It is also important to recognise the ingenuity and undeniable adaptability that they have shown when confronted with this unprecedented situation. Their initiatives have created a virtuous circle between the players in the «eating well» sector: maintaining the activity of distributors, shopkeepers and food artisans has also made it possible to support the producers who supply them on a daily basis. And these producers satisfy the demands of French consumers who, more than ever, are choosing good quality, local produce and paying particular attention to the origin of the products they buy. This was already an established trend, but it is clearly gaining strength.
The new edition of Gourmet Sélection is therefore, more than ever, about recovery, innovation, transformation and adaptation! We are proud to welcome you to this season’s unmissable event, and to showcase once again the best in fine foods and food retailing, boundless and infinite concepts that are perfectly in step with the demands of consumers, who are searching for quality and meaning.
In keeping with our aim of meeting the needs of exhibitors and visitors by expanding the number of meeting places and outlets, we are digitalising our events and launching CXMP, our marketplace that is dedicated to the worlds of food, fashion and sport. It will be premiered at the show... an exciting event!
Finally, as proof of our concept’s success, Gourmet Selection will be going abroad for the first time in 2022, with the launch of a version that is tailored to the German market: Gourmet Discovery on April 4 and 5 in Hamburg!
