A look back at the Best Of 2021 winners and the jury's favourites
The Best Of jury met on 30 August 2021 to taste more than 90 products and decide between the finalists. A look back at the highlights of the competition.
Divided into 7 categories: sauces and condiments, savoury and preparations, sweet groceries, non-alcoholic beverages, tea, coffee, infusions, alcoholic beverages, oils and vinegars, fish and shellfish. In view of the quality of the products presented, the jury decided to award 10 winners and to add two additional categories entitled Special Jury Prizes and Best Of the Best.

1/Sauces and Condiments
Kampot green pepper sauce / LA PLANTATION
Sauce au poivre | La plantation
A creamy condiment sauce with a focus on fresh green Kampot PGI pepper. This Cambodian town is located on the Gulf of Thailand near the border with Vietnam, in the part of the world where the greatest peppers come from. The very green citrus notes, the vegetal notes of moringa and the vanilla notes of pandanus bring a spicy warmth without the burn of black pepper.
A nice surprise in the crowded market of flavoured and coloured pasta. Here, the addition of Sicilian lemon to this bronze-drawn durum wheat pasta (without eggs) is not an alibi. Supported by the rather discreet Indian Tellicherry pepper, the freshness of the lemon persists after cooking, which is rarely the case, and will marry wonderfully with green olive oil, seafood or summer vegetables.

Hasnaâ Feirreira is one of the most talented chocolatiers of her generation. In this beautiful box, she has managed to highlight her adopted city and the strong image of the Crus de Bordeaux which flavour her ganaches balanced in a cover of 68% Bolivian chocolate. Margaux, St Julien, Pauillac, ... it's up to you to discover the appellation that appeals to you the most. To be consumed without moderation.
Zesty BB Herbal infusion / SAPPHIRE – The Magic of Nature
Zesty BB is a unique herbal infusion with the freshest aromas of lemongrass, citrus and ginger, naturally coloured by the blue pea flower hand-picked in Bali. Add a drop of lemon and watch the colour turn from blue to purple, a natural reaction to acidity, to great effect.
Stouts, brown ales brewed from highly roasted malts, are said to be dark, dense, creamy, and full of aromas of highly cooked caramel, coffee and cocoa. This black beer meets all these criteria and more, as it spends 3 years in Nuits-St-Georges wine barrels before being bottled. This adds roundness and breeding that balances the bitterness of its fine hops. A real success story for a brewery established in Roussillon and better known for its Vins Doux Naturels.
In the midst of very busy shelves, this bottle will stand out with its copper colour, modernising the traditional aluminium foil that used to cover these bottles to protect the contents from light. But above all, it is an oil that comes to us from Puglia with a PGI guaranteeing authenticity and singularity. Its green fruitiness, its "Italian taste" balanced with notes of artichoke, hay and tomato leaves is respected by a discreet bitterness and a moderate ardour that make it pleasant for delicate palates.

On the Ile d'Yeu, off the coast of the Vendée, white tuna is almost a religion and an important resource for the islanders. This wild albacore tuna has been caught there respectfully for centuries during its summer migration from Ireland to the Azores. The king of preserves in oil, the heart of the fillet is prepared here as a "sausage of the sea", smoked raw. It will find its place of quality on all plates of smoked fish, in salads and snacks as a change from the fattier smoked salmon, which is most often farmed.
