From the first day to the last day of a long process of 16 weeks, we alone breed and then transform our own ducks.
We alone develop their feed thanks to our own corn crops.

For three generations la Maison Barthouil has hand-crafted
traditional foods of distinction.
Established in 1929 in the heart of the foie gras region in the south
west of France, La Maison Barthouil has a heritage of crafting fine
delicacies. Traditional methods of raising the local duck breed
continues, as does the technique of feeding them whole
corn by hand.
La Maison Barthouil lies on a bank of the Pyrenees’ tributary where
the rare French wild salmon swim upstream. Over the years, our
savoir-faire of slowly smoking salmon vertically at low temperatures
over alder tree chips consistently creates quality produce. This
cold-smoke process is carried out on carefully selected farmed and
La Maison Barthouil guarantees exceptional quality whilst
remaining free of additives, preservatives and flavor enhancers.
We are proud of our produce. The extraordinary taste and texture
is our hallmark.
