It is at the beginning of the 19th century that the story of A L'OLIVIER starts, in the heart of Paris, in the Marais district. Mr Popelin, then pharmacist, opens a shop dedicated to the olive oils of Provence. With a reputation for quality and award-winning by two medals at the universal exhibition of 1867 and 1889, the House extended its know-how to other varieties of oils to become the specialist of quality oils. Today the company operates two oil mills. One, installed in Grasse, produces conventional and organic olive oil from a local raw material. The other, located in Poitou, makes in a traditional way gourmet oils from walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, and rapeseed... Oils produced in our two mills are offered under A L'Olivier brand. Others olive oild, many in PDO, but not only, are selected from other producers and oil mills. Only the best oils chosen by our team of expert tasters are offered under A L'Olivier. In order to complete its selection of quality oils A L'Olivier began 25 years ago to make fresh plant infused olive oils . Obtained according to an original process of dynamic maceration, these oils distinguish themselves by intensity and freshness of their flavor.
Real cooking aids, they ideally complement olive and seed oils in the kitchen. These herbal oils are developed in our workshops on the borders of Provence and County of Nice : an ideal location for our supplies of fresh plants, herbs and citrus. A L’Olivier also means a nice assortment of traditional vinegars, balsamic vinegar of Modena PGI, fruit pulp vinegars. In this latest range we invite you to discover without delay our three new flavors : Zucchini & Mint, Beetroot & Thyme and Wild Peach.
With so many great ingredients, oils and Vinegars, our “nozes” couldn't refrain from inventing exquisite salad dressings. They wanted them exotic, fresh and tasty.
Finally, A L’Olivier has involved in a commitment towards more organic products whenever raw materials are available. One will have the opportunity to discover our Bio Gourmet range at the show. On the occasion Gourmet Selection 2019, A L'Olivier had again innovated through the development of a range of infused olive oils for desserts, consisting of three recipes. In 2020, we will show brand new exquisite and vibrant products … don’t miss them. Come and taste hem, we will be happy to welcome you.
Olive oil from matured olives, century-old olive treesA L'OLIVIER
Our olive oil is rare: - UNIQUE, it is the fruit of century-old olive trees in Haute-Provence; - FRENCH, it is made with a unique savoir-faire protected by the French PDO label; - EXCEPTIONAL, it is harvested from a single parcel with limited production; - INTENSE, it is characterized by its incomparable “black fruity” taste; - UNCOMMUN, tastes like black olives and tapenade. On the edge of The Penitents rock formation in the South of France, century-old olive trees enjoy an amazing climate mixing mountain and Mediterranean influences. Paired with the relatively cold climate, thealtitude enhances the taste of the olives giving the oil an incredible intensity. The olives were harvested at the end of 2020. They were then left in controlled storage until the development of the fusty taste.
Maison Boutarin, are passionate farmers, in the Drôme in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, who transform the products of the earth into exceptional gourmet products with an inimitable taste!
Fanny and her husband Stéphane Boutarin, a farmer and garlic producer, have put their know-how and skills at the service of the same desire: to promote garlic and make people discover its many flavours!
It is by combining the tradition of agricultural production of PGI white garlic from the Drôme and innovation through the transformation of this condiment into black garlic that they are realizing this goal.
Black garlic is made from a PGI white garlic from Drôme, thanks to a process developed by Fanny. Maison Boutarin black garlic has a delicate taste with aromas of candied fruit, undergrowth and balsamic vinegar and a melting texture. But to surprise the taste buds, Maison Boutarin also produces and offers other surprising varieties of garlic!
Stéphane produces PGI white garlic from Drôme, which has a slightly milder taste. Elephant garlic allows to diversify the range of flavours. This garlic has large cloves and a delicate taste close to leek. A multitude of flavours to surprise your taste buds!
The Maison Boutarin accompanies its products to the plate with numerous culinary inspirations available on its website.
The Maison Boutarin are products made in France, the elaboration of healthy and tasty products recommended by French Chefs and delicatessen shops, the sharing of a common passion and respect for the earth.
